   This could be a case of a few things and poverty, stress and education could be the main social reasons for this occurence. I will however state that it is not surprising if you take into account more alcohol was sold in SA December last year, than the whole of Central Europe for the whole year!!In laments terms, 1 in 2 persons in SA bought beer or wine every day with only 1 in 10 in Central Europe doing the same.We have a culture of alcohol being the escapism for poor,middle and wealthy people and companies like SAB will never never bemoan that fact.It sounds dreadful, but I think it is normal for a society with such underlying differences. Cheers to you all!!

   Also inform DISTEL in the Cape.

   By the age of 12, I had seen more than ample evidence of the ravages of alcohol in the lives of many potentially admirable persons and families. I was present when three of our best tradesmen died from the devastating effects of alcohol that they pilfered from a road tanker that was sent for repairs to the truck and trailer repair Company my Dad managed at the time. Three of the workers who “SURVIVED” were permanently brain-damaged, and this led to their families also being left in a state of destitution. My opinion was then, and still is, that alcohol is by very far the most subtle and deadly danger to society at all levels; this because it is accepted as being a socially acceptable means to letting down one’s hair and casting caution to the wind by all carefree, stupid people who expose themselves to its cunning deception, however innocent the involvement may seem; and this applies to society, from the guttermost to the
   uttermost! This is a substance that should be totally and permanently banned from society. The world would be a far better place without it!!!
