As fast as the wind
Major hurricanes begin at sustained wind speeds of ~200km/h, at which point well-built houses may incur removal of roof decking, trees may be snapped or uprooted, and electricity and water will be unavailable for several days after the storm. The fastest recorded gust of wind was measured at 253mp/h (407km/h) during Tropical Cyclone Olivia on Barrow Island, Australia.
