Electric Avenue
Porsche has revealed that the first car designed by its founder was electric. The 22-year-old Ferdinand Porsche designed the P1 in 1898. The car had an “octagonal electric motor” that was powered by electric batteries and suspended amidst shock absorbers in the rear of the vehicle. The P1 could reach speeds of up to 21 mph (34 km/h) and travel up to 49 miles (79 kilometers) on a single charge. (https://bbc.in/2PP6ikR)
