Berries
Strawberries and raspberries aren’t berries in the botanical sense. Botanically speaking, a berry has three distinct fleshy layers: the exocarp (outer skin), mesocarp (fleshy middle) and endocarp (innermost part, which holds the seeds). Strawberries and raspberries don’t have these layers. Tomatoes fall into this group, as do pomegranates, kiwis and – believe it or not – so do bananas. (http://bit.ly/2NdloQS)
