Confidence in politicians
99% of black South Africans have at least some confidence in Nelson Mandela, compared to 92% for whites. Thabo Mbeki is not as highly regarded as Nelson Mandela (blacks 95%, whites 71%). Tony Leon is not as popular with the black population (only 25% have at least some confidence in Tony Leon, versus whites at 81%). (FutureFact 2004)
