   It sounds astonishing at first read, and without sufficient context, it could lead to incorrect perceptions or conclusions about over-indebtedness of our society, albeit, which is also a problem though, but without considering all the facts.

   The context is that a person usually buys a car (absa/wesbank/…), a house (absa/fnb/…), clothes (edgars), household goods (makro),etc. and even groceries (woolies), all on credit.
