   This is a falsehood, not a fact!

   The article in MyBroadband (http://mybroadband.co.za/news/general/106395-is-south-africa-getting-dumber.html) makes this erroneous conclusion because the author is unable to read their own graph.

   In fact, it’s the other way round.

   South Africa finished in the top half only THREE times before 2004, and SEVEN times in the last 10 years.

   Please issue a correction!

   Charley – thanks for your interest in this.

   However, the article references the correct figures. The orange dots in the chart represent the South African ranking where 1st is best out of x number of teams. Therefore the lower the orange number the better South Africa performed.

   For example, in 1994 South Africa came 27th out of 69 teams – that is, they were in the top half of the total competitors for that year.
