Disney was sued by a research biologist for their defamatory depiction of the hyenas in the Lion King film. Before production, the entertainment giant were permitted into the University of California’s Field Station to research the animals and reportedly promised to represent hyenas in positive light. Ultimately, the lawsuit was thrown out since defamation of character of hyenas isn’t quite possible.
