The world has roughly 425,000 electric buses in use. 421,000 are used in China where electric buses make up 14% of their fleet, due to national prioritisation of electrifying public transport. Europe and the United States have been slow to catch up and electric buses only make up 0.2% and 0.03% of their respective bus fleets.
