Fast and furious
The Bugatti Veyron, recognised by Guinness World Records as the fastest street-legal production car in the world, has a top speed of 431 km/h. At full speed, the supercar gobbles up 78 litres per 100 km, i.e. 88 ml per second. Juxtaposed, NASA’s Saturn V rocket, using five F-1 rocket engines, used up 20 tons of fuel per second during launch. The Bugatti will have to drive at full speed for over 2.5 days to burn through the same amount of fuel as the Saturn V rocket does in one second. (http://bit.ly/2MM7rw8, http://bit.ly/2NLHfOo)
