Cape Town was recently confirmed as the host of the fifth round of the 2022/23 Formula E World Championship. Not only will Cape Town become the first Sub-Saharan African city to host a round of the all-electric series, but it is estimated that the Championship race will generate ~R2.2 billion in indirect economic impact for the city.
