Gold Medal Gains

World Athletics will be the first international federation to provide financial awards to Olympic champions. Gold medal winners at the Paris 2024 Games will receive US$50,000 (approximately R909,226). Additionally, South African Olympic medalists are also set to receive rewards from their country, with gold medalists having been awarded R450,000 during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
