South Africa is lucky enough to claim 10 UNESCO World Heritage Sites within her borders, the highest number in any African country. Natural Sites include the Vredefort Dome, Cape Floral Region, and iSimangaliso Wetland Park. Cultural landmarks include Robben lsland, The Cradle of Humankind and the Mapungubwe Cultural Landscape; historical city ruins famous for being the home of an 800-year-old golden rhino statuette.
