Law & Order: Space Edition
On 23 Aug 2019 a NASA astronaut was accused of illegally accessing her estranged wife’s bank account whilst on the ISS. However the ISS does not belong to any country, therefore prosecuting any crimes becomes complicated. As of April 2020 the accused has been acquitted of all charges. With commercial space travel becoming a reality, what laws would then be applied to privately/commercially owned stations and crafts?
