Many vessels have been lost in the area known as the Bermuda Triangle, leading to speculation and fanciful theories about the nature of the region. Disappearances, in fact, are no more common in the triangle when compared with other similar regions of the Atlantic Ocean. A 2013 study by the World Wildlife Fund showed that this region doesn’t even make the list of the 10 most dangerous bodies of water for shipping.
