Making a mark
New Zealand was the first country to give women the right to vote in 1893. South Africa allowed white women to vote in 1930 (all citizens were allowed to vote in 1994). In the Vatican City women cannot vote because the Pope is only elected by the College of Cardinals and women cannot be appointed as cardinals. In Saudi Arabia women will be able to vote for the first time in the upcoming local elections this year. (http://bit.ly/1TAaoaE, http://bit.ly/1JWJxVB)
