   Please send this to our Government, head of transportation and SARS. Stats team show us what we derive from income as the STATE from Transport (Bus and Rail) – Then project what the taxi industry could make if it were state owned. Its funny but most of the so called “Black” taxi owners are smarter than the Degreed Government Transpotation division in running a transport network. Makes you wonder why we pay them those fat salaries.

   …also given that taxis are south africa’s most viable form of transportation, the mind baffles as to the antagonistic approach government takes toward them. i understand the greedy desire to get their hands on millions of tax rands but am not entirely convinced that giving our leadership MORE money is helpful…surely in an enlightened society the leadership should acknowledge that the majority of the populous make use of a service and then set out to support/improve it based on the impact it would have on the quality of lives of the majority…perhaps i’m a dreamer…but i’m not the only one…
