In 2020 the South African government allocated R387.2bn to Learning and Culture, roughly 19% of the total R2.05tr budget for 2020/21. Now in 2021, government has increased the allocation to R402.9bn, a 4.1% increase in a smaller budget of R2.02tr for 2021/22.
