   Can you please inform me how you went about collecting this “fact”? I find it extremely hard to believe that only 19% of the adult (15 and above) population have an “interest” in cricket.

   Yasser –

   The question asked in the survey is “Which of the following sports or activities, listed below, are you interested in?” followed by a wide range of sports and activities.

   Only 6.36 million adults (19%) say they are interested in cricket. Soccer is the highest, at 16.36 million adults (48%). In fact, more adults say they are interested in dancing (6.72 million, or 20%) than cricket.

   To each his own, right?

      to each his own, i agree. Thanks for the feedback. Just one more question – in selecting the sports/activities they’re interested in, do the respondents have the option of making multiple selections or can they just select a single sport/activity?

         The respondents can say yes to as many of the sport/activity options as they like – or none, if they wish.
