Average life expectancy worldwide has increased by 18.5 years since 1960, from 52.5 to 71 years in 2013. Over the same time period South Africa’s life expectancy increased by 7 years from 49 years to 56.7 years in 2013. (http://bit.ly/LW1Qbh).
