On the 8th and 9th of June 2019, the Golden Vaal Blanket Drive broke two Guinness World Records at the DP de Villiers Stadium in Sasolburg. The first was the World’s Biggest Hand Knitted Blanket, at 8952.45 square meters. The second was the Most Blankets Distributed for Charity within 24 Hours – 8774 blankets were distributed to more than 300 charities around South Africa. (http://bit.ly/32tvjbU)
