   What also seems strange to me is the increase in households over the 10 year period from 10.5 million to 15 million (3.6% growth p.a.). Is this correct?

      Hi Charles,

      Thanks for your comment. According to AMPS the total number of households in SA increased from 10.1 million in 2004 to 15.2 million in 2014 (annual growth of 4.2%).

      Over the same time period the number of adults aged 16 and above grew from 30.3 million to 37.1 million (2.1% growth p.a). So the number of households have been growing at a faster rate (average household size has been decreasing)

   I think this is great reflection of growth of the middle class population in SA and how more and more people are hungry for global content to feel connected with the rest of the world.
