Social Progress
The Social Progress Index is based on 3 dimensions: Basic human needs, Foundations of wellbeing, and Opportunity. South Africa is ranked 63 out of 133 countries with a score of 65.6 which places it in the ‘lower middle social progress’ group and just above the world average of 61.0.
