The cost of stress
Credit Stress reduces productivity: people take more sick leave, spend time at work focusing on personal finances, and are more likely to resign to search for higher paying work. Eighty20 has estimated the value of this lost productivity for each of its 8 ENS segments. For the highly stressed “Hustling Males” this lost productivity is R227m of their R48bn annual spend. By contrast, the least stressed group, “Students and Scholars” have only lost R996k of their R81bn annual spend.
