   These aren’t really relevant statistics, since opposite races can only guess at the treatment other races receive – it’s very subjective.

   this might be subjective, but lets face it, perception is reality. I think it is tragic that anyone thinks they are being discriminated against in a place where they are most vulnerable. this should be a red flag to hospital administrators and the giants of healthcare like Netcare etc. As a white person I don’t feel that I get special treatment at hospitals, they seem to be equally poor in their treatment(excuse the pun) of patients and family, however I also have the ability and courage to object to poor treatment, which many poor black people don’t. thus poor treatment goes undefended.

   I totally agree – I was just referring to the statistics themselves, which are not a true reflection of everyone’s experiences (as you cannot ask a white to comment on the service blacks get, nor the other way around). I think the treatment is horrible across the board, though -like you said – the weak cannot always defend or fend for themselves. Unfortunately it does not look like anything will be done to remedy the situation. All South Africans are due proper service, especially when health and wellbeing is at stake.

   I personally agree with this statement. Not only at clinics, but this happens in shops etc
   It’s sad but i recommend that you report the person if ever you receive bad service

   It’s the who perception of white people being seen at ‘superior’ and black being ‘inferior’ cause by the apartheid ofcourse. I think it will get better with time and generations to come will really enjoy equalness and fair treatment for all
