What’s In Store for Online Retail?
MAPS data gives insight into leading online retail product categories and the percentage of South Africans who have made purchases from them within the past year. This includes Communications, i.e. cellphones, airtime and data (6%), Clothing (2%), and Toys and Games (1.4%).
In-Store purchases made by South Africans in the same categories are far greater: Clothing (40%), Communications (33%) and Toys and Games (3%).
