   It is a pity that there is such ignorance amongst the public in respect of the NCA as it will, undoubtedly, be one of the most significant moves in SA history to assist the consumer with any unfair retail practices which they may encounter when they purchase goods on credit. It will become a very powerful ‘tool’ with which to argue unfair interest rates and the like with the major retail outlets in the country. It is therefore in the public interest to learn more about the Act in order to protect themselves effectively.
