Tik Tok has proven to be one of the most promising platforms for up-and-coming musicians, including Cape Town’s very own Will Linley. In November 2021, his song “miss me (when you’re gone)” went viral on the app, garnering more than 4 million views before the song was even released. With around 11 million listens and over 300,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, this 20-year-old is definitely a South African musician to watch (or in this case, listen to).
