The current Covid-19 Crisis has shown the urgency for global health security. The World Bank, which plays a crucial role in shaping global health policy, plans to form a new Multi-Donor Fund (in addition to the ~$160 billion of financing the Bank will provide over the next year) to support and help lower-income countries respond to the immediate health and economic consequences of the pandemic.
