Eighty20 was commissioned by the Housing Development Agency to develop and support an enumeration system for using in profiling informal settlements across South Africa. This report summarizes the findings of data gathered during the enumeration of five different municipalities in the Limpopo province together with data from the 2011 Census and other data sources available at a national, provincial and municipal level. The report serves to update the existing analysis on the profile of informal settlements in South Africa, to characterize conditions in informal settlements and identify key trends.
