TransUnion, a credit reporting agency, reported that its consumer data was compromised by the hacker group "N4aughtysecTU", who demanded a ransom of around R255 m for the compromised data. In response to this attack, TransUnion prepared an ‘ID protection package' to protect consumers from further attacks.
